About Us
After several months of research, owners Brad and Jen took a leap of faith and decided to purchase the business in February 2006. Brad and Jen had boarded their well loved family dog, Daisy on their honeymoon at the kennel under previous owners and fell in love with the idea of running the business. After buying the business, Daisy could be found laying out in the lawn watching the kennel and waiting for people to arrive. She would greet everyone who came with tail wags and sloppy kisses. It was only fitting to name the new business after her. We are dedicated to ensuring that every guest gets the same experience we would want for our pets during their boarding stay. When our guests come to Daisy’s Pet Retreat, we give them the best possible care as if they were our own.
Brad Stanke
Brad has an associate’s degree in Diesel Mechanics and Business Management from Northwestern College in Lima, Ohio. He not only helps with everyday activities like walking and playing with the dogs but also handles the maintenance at the kennel. Brad likewise mows all our beautiful lawns to ensure that the grass is never too long for your four-legged friends.
Jen Stanke
Jen is the heart and soul of the kennel. It was her idea to buy it when she dropped Daisy off there in November 2005 when the couple went on their honeymoon. After seeing the for-sale sign, Jen’s imagination took over and she began researching about buying the kennel while she was finishing her degree in Animal Science at Michigan State University.

Daisy's Pet Retreat is excellent. They care of your furbaby like they are their own. They offer wonderful services to entertain and exercise your dog. The facility is immaculate, and the staff are caring, organized, responsive, and have great customer service. I feel comfortable leaving my dog and cat there. Every day,they post photos of your pet on FB, so you can see they are happy and well. This makes travelling much more enjoyable and relaxing!
We dropped our dogs off for a week and they were well cared for. The daily pictures are a must and the play session is well with the money. The pups came back healthy and happy and as a bonus, clean! We'll be using Daisy's from here on out when our plans have to exclude the dogs.
We have had 2 dogs we’ve taken here, and they are well taken care of. Our current dog loves the girls there!
